23rd March 2010

This year's Sport Relief Mile events were scheduled for the weekend 19-21 March, but the Pirates were ahead of the game!
Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, Cornish Pirates players Shaun Pammenter, Richard Bright and Steve Winn were present to start the Cornwall College campus Sports Relief Mile and to encourage the students who were participating in one of the UK's biggest charity fundraising events.
Actually, come Sunday, another 'Pirate' did join several hundreds of other runners who gathered to participate in 1, 3 or 6 mile Sports Relief events that started at Marazion. Opting to complete 6 miles, Rhodri McAtee and his wife Hannah (who did especially well!) are commended for completing the longer run.
Sport Relief brings people together to get active, raise money and change lives.
All monies raised will be spent by Comic Relief to help people living tough lives both across the UK and the world's poorest countries.
