SPECIAL TRAINING FOR TREWIRGIE
The young rugby players from Trewirgie School, who were recent winners of the Cornwall West Tag rugby competition, have received some extra special coaching ahead of the SW Championships to be held at Taunton School on the 23 rd July.
The school trains and play its matches at Redruth Albany's ground, which was the venue last Friday when Cornish Pirates coach Ian Davies, along with players Rob Cook and James Doherty, attended to lend their support with training.
Speaking on behalf of Trewirgie School, David Williams commented:
“The Cornish Pirates did us proud with the coaching and parents watching were full of praise. Ian certainly knew how to get the best out of the youngsters, and my excited 1st team benefited from playing with, and against, James and Rob.
We'll now proceed to the SW Championships with an extra 'spring in our step'!”
