NIMMO SIGNS FOR THE PIRATES

Ian Nimmo Signs

24yr old lock forward Ian Nimmo, who is currently with Nottingham has signed for the Pirates.

A former Scotland U21s international, Ian attended Dundee High School from where he joined Heriot's Rugby Club, Edinburgh.

On leaving Heriot's he has since had spells with Leicester, Coventry, and then Heriot's again, where he has had links with Edinburgh, before joining Nottingham just over 12 months ago.

Ian made his debut for the 'Green & Whites' as a replacement last season against Mounts Bay. The game, won comfortably by Nottingham, was an EDF Energy National Trophy quarter-final tie played at the Mennaye Field, Penzance..

Commenting on the signing, forwards coach Ian Davies said:

“Ian is an excellent tight forward and a good tactician of line-out play who we have been keeping an eye on.

The coaching team are excited that he's signed for us next season, and we feel he will add to the squad both on and off the field.”
