Players from the Penzance & Newlyn RFC Girls squads have been travelling up to Newquay this past week to take part in a development coaching programme that is being run all over the Duchy.
The aim to not only get more girls to take up the sport but to also help develop the ability of those that have been involved with rugby for the past few seasons.
On Friday community coach Mike Crump will be taking a team up to the Newquay beach 'tag' tournament being held at Lusty Glaze, where a team made up of Pirate Girls, ex Pirate Colts and Mike himself will play five games and hopefully qualify for the finals.
