Cornish Pirates

With sponsorship also provided by ALDI, the Cornish Pirates were delighted to welcome four representative school teams to the Recreation Ground at Camborne last Sunday, when during the half-time period of the Cornish Pirates versus Bristol fixture they provided a 'tag' rugby exhibition.

During recent years youngsters from clubs and schools from all over the County have enjoyed their chance to play on Cornish Pirates match days at the 'Rec', and last Sunday's teams came from St Mewan, Mount Charles, Charlestown and Biscovey Schools, who all inevitably cherished the ccasion.

They had their photos taken with Captain Benbow, they formed the funnel from the tunnel pre-match for the Pirates players to run out of, and the highlight, of course, was the actual period at half-time hen they played rugby to entertain everyone present!
