Cancer
Research UK's 2008 Cornish 'Race for Life' events were given a massive helping
hand by the Cornish Pirates this week. Ladies in the west of Cornwall
attended the club's training base at the Mennaye Field, Penzance, where players
helped them prepare for this year's event.
Tim
Cowley, who has captained the Pirates this past season, said:"We fully
support local ladies taking part in the race for Life for Cancer Research UK.
It's both a great way to keep fit and to support a very worthy cause!" The
Penzance based Race for Life, where women can walk, jog or run the 5km course,
takes place at the Wharfside car park and seafront on Wednesday 28th May at 7.30pm,
with other similar events taking place at other venues around the county throughout
May and June. To enter Race for Life 2008, or for more information, please
