To
help promote Sport Relief Mile events taking place about the country, Cornish
Pirates scrumhalf Ed Fairhurst joined up with BBC South West's Natalie Cornah
at the Eden Project this week.
People all over the United
Kingdom will mostly be running a mile this Sunday, which is official 'Sports Relief
Day', but for Natalie and Ed it has been a case of skating 26 laps on Eden's spectacular
ice rink.
Newquay-born Natalie, whose father Geoff played
for Pirates and was also a scrum-half, greatly appreciated Canadian Ed's willingness
to participate, him described as "a very good skater, and a real gent!"
Since its launch in 2002, Sport Relief has raised almost
£50 million, the money going to help vulnerable people living incredibly
tough lives both at home and abroad.
