the achievements of children that have taken the 10 week study support course
at the Pirates Learning Zone.
They
were on hand to give out the certificates and prizes and then sign and autograph
memorabilia. Schools involved in the presentation evening were Mousehole Primary

Secondary School.
Pirates give animation a Try!
During
the 10 week study support course at the Pirates Learning Zone Centre Manager Kevin
Jackson invited James Parks (Incognito Works) into the Pirates Learning Zone to
show children the basics of animation. James an established animator who has recently
been nominated for an award at Cornish Film Festival in Hayle, proved a massive
success.
Centre
Manager Kevin Jackson "James came into the Zone to work with the schools
attending the Playing for Success programme and we were unsure how the children
would cope with the software and the patience needed to make a film, but as usual
the children proved us wrong and they were making films within an hour. A testimony
of James' patience and knowledge of film making. It is definitely something that
will be on our curriculum from now on."
