This Saturday sees the Cornish Pirates travel to Old Deer Park, Richmond to play a match at the Pagoda-picturesque home ground of London Welsh.

'Welsh' are skippered by former Bristol player Richard Martin-Redman, it likely that he'll play in a back-row alongside Jonathan Mills, an ex captain of Colston's School who has also played for Llanelli Scarlets.

Other probable starters could include scrum-half Gregory Nicholls, who is another ex Bristol man, whilst out wide former England wing Paul Sampson could be a danger, along with young David Doherty at full-back.

Hopes were high at the beginning of the September that the 'Exiles' team, having finished twelfth last season, would make a push up the league in this campaign.

As intimated, they would appear to have a strong squad, but to date will feel disappointed that any climb up the league ladder has been on hold.

Last Saturday, however, despite losing 29-14 away to Plymouth Albion, theirs was a well organised and resilient performance which will boost confidence levels.

As for the Pirates, they were naturally frustrated that a combination of weather conditions and Moseley's limited game plan all but denied the chance of a four-try bonus point last Sunday, it something they'll been keen to bag on Saturday.

The Pirates lost 16-10 when they last visited London Welsh in March, it a time when the squad was plagued by injuries.

This time around, however, it's a case of injured personnel presently making a return, as added to a list of several such players who featured against Moseley is full-back Adryan Winnan.

Having played in the opening four games, it is two and half months since the gifted and experienced performer has pulled on the number 15 shirt, one capably worn since by Ollie Thomas.

Other changes from the side that started against Moseley sees Rhodri McAtee replace Ali Koko on the wing, and Bruce Cumming given a starting role at lock ahead of Heino Senekal. Skipper Tim Cowley also returns at No. 8 in place of Matt Evans.
