of a national campaign to encourage you or someone you know to save energy and
help reduce carbon emissions that are harmful to the planet. Community
Energy Plus and the Cornish Pirates are working together to help you combat climate
change and at the same time make your home warmer and cheaper to heat.
The
Pirates are taking action to inspire and encourage the local community to lead
greener lifestyles. The Pirates have signed the 3rd Sector
Declaration on Climate Change to publicly affirm the importance of urgent action

and energy saving tips: - top up your loft insulation to
the recommended depth of 250mm

- when
you replace your heating/boiler system, get an energy efficient one
- get
controls for your heating system
- buy 'A' rated appliances
- switch
off appliances/lighting when not in use
- put draught excluders around
draughty windows and doors
- don't leave your mobile phone on charge overnight
