The
end of the season might be less than two weeks ago, but the Pirates can already
confirm the bulk of the squad for the 2008-09 National One campaign.
It
is also likely that another three names will be announced in the near future,
but for the present the squad list reads as follows:-

Cornish Players have been made available for the restaging of the Olympic Rugby
Final between Britain (Cornwall) & Australia. The match in December celebrates
the 100th anniversary of the Olympic Games in London
Chief
Executive Rod Coward has made the offer due to the significance of the game to
Cornwall, commenting:"It is a source of great pride in Cornwall that the
1908 Olympic side was made up of 15 Cornishmen and we think it would be appropriate
for the 2008 side to contain at least one Cornishman who currently plays in Cornwall.
With
the Cornish Pirates nearing completion of their squad for the 2008-09 season,
the signings this past week of three gifted young players has just been announced.
