The 2005-06 season provided various successes right across the board.

There was a third place finish for the Cornish Pirates in National 1, our highest-ever league placing, whilst our youth teams also recorded an amazing number of quite considerable achievements.

It has been a pleasure, for the very first time, to record many of these moments in written and pictorial form on this website, and there are a number of people to thank for this to have happened.

Firstly, the coaches of the various teams and their section administrators had to respond to requests to provide week by week information, which they did.

For my part, it was a case of simply editing information before posting it onto the website, the important thing also being to keep everything up to date.

We were then fortunate that one our volunteer match stewards, Geoff Nicholas, identified himself as being a ‘webmaster’, one willing to lend assistance and upgrade the site to a professional standard, and it really has made a difference. I am sure I can speak for all of us to say how much it is appreciated.

Past Present & Future

We must always look to the future, but never forget the past, and another main theme with this website is to provide archive information of interest. In due course, it is hoped that there will be much, much more for readers to browse.

Having been the club archivist since the mid-seventies, there is a great deal of information that has been compiled and which I can draw from, with further help website-wise also now being given by former player Steve Tomlin and loyal supporter Ivan Rowe.

Steve has all but listed all of our selected teams going back to 1945, also giving information on our opponents and the scorers, whilst Ivan is in the process of copying many of the photographs of interest in our possession.
