Under 10s Newbury Success

Playing at the end of the season in the prestigious Newbury Festival, the Pirates U10s had an enjoyable and successful day.

A 10-0 win against US Portsmouth in their opener was followed by two 5-all draws against Bournemouth and Huddersfield, qualifying them for a semi-final draw against High Wycombe in the Shield competition.

Winning that game 15-5 gave added confidence that the Shield trophy was in their grasp, which it was, them winning 10-0 in the final against strong hosts Newbury ‘A’.
