U15s runners-up in ‘Tens’ competition

Playing at Bodmin on Sunday 23rd. April

The Pirates beat the hosts Bodmin, 34-0 in their opener with tries scored by Trev Dugdale (2), Tom Cowan-Dickie, Dan Batten, Kelvin James and Henry Mander, who also kicked two conversions.

Camborne were beaten next, 26-7, the tries scored by Tom Cowan-Dickie (2), Dan Batten and Jack Vosper. Henry Mander slotted three conversions.

Progressing to a semi-final against Wadebridge Camels, Charlie Goldsworthy scored the fastest try of the tournament in about six seconds! He also notched one more try in the match, the others coming from Trev Dugdale and Josh Oliver. Henry Mander added to his points tally with two more conversions, before we then lost disappointingly 36-0 to favourites Redruth.

CORNWALL UNDER 15s

Congratulations to Tom Cowan-Dickie, Henry Mander and Jack Vosper (son of former 'Pirate' Ian) on their selection for the Cornwall U15s squad.

Remember, there is great potential for those who play for the county at the level - our own President Richard Evans having proudly played for the side during his youth!
