The Pirates came out worthy winners in a very physical encounter, with the forwards dominating the set piece and providing Andrew Snell with great service to get the back line going.

The pace of Danny Hewett and Aaron Hall broke through the Bude defence on several occasions, leading to scores for George Pye, Aaron Pennell, and a deserved try for Hall.

Yes, the Pirates took the points in this merit table game, but they'll expect a tough return game away at Bude on the 24th January.
