This was without doubt one of the Pirates Colts hardest fought games of the season, as they were fully tested by a very able home side.

The Pirates pack played particularly well, and the all round defence was also impressive,whilst their one try in the match was scored by scrum-half Trevelyan Dugdale. To put the result beyond doubt, fly-half Kelvin James added a penalty late in the game.
