Colts 0 Syston Colts 15
Saturday April 4th 2009 Played on the Mennaye
Nurseries Field, the tourists from Leicestershire were particularly strong in
the forwards, and always had the upper hand. Centre Mark Johnson opened
their account with an unconverted try, before the Pirates then lost the services
of James Nicholls because of injury. The loss of the front-rower actually helped
the home team's cause, as the game went to uncontested scrums. Also, by showing
showing great spirit and bravery in defence the Pirates denied the visitors further
first half scores. |
