Luke Cowan-Dickie Named In England Squad

April 2009

Luke Cowan-Dickie, who is a product of the Pirates, Mounts Bay School and Cornwall, was a star performer playing for England U16s against Wales U16s on Sunday.

It was England's second match in this year's Four Nations Tournament, and followed a 14-13 defeat suffered against Italy at Llandovery just three days earlier.

Loose-head prop Luke had been listed among the replacements for the game against Italy, but starting against Wales in a match played at the new Parc y Scarlets ground, Llanelli, he performed particularly well.

England lost the match 11-6, but Luke scrummaged soundly and displayed good handling skills, besides also showing his mobility to make one important try-saving tackle.

England's final game in the tournament is against France on Wednesday 15th April, kick-off 2pm at Cardiff Arms Park.
