The Pirates Youth rugby section held its first ever Registration Day last Sunday.

Wendy Nicholas, Chair of Youth Rugby for the Pirates, which currently has around 250 members, said "We had a great day. As well as Tag and contact rugby demonstrations, we had a barbecue and plenty of new and second hand kit available to assist members. Many people, especially parents of U7's, took the opportunity to come along and see the great facilities we have for them here at the Mennaye."

Pirates new fly-half Doug Sanft (pictured below) and Iva Motusaga assisted the U13 with a skills session, despite only having arrived back from their clash with Coventry in the early hours and Matt Evans kindly gave time to pass on tips to the youngest Pirates in the U7/8 age group.
