Launceston Castles 24 Pirates Amateurs 14
14 th Nov 2009
Played in terrible conditions at Polson Bridge, the Pirates Amateurs battled hard in this Merit Table match against a strong home side.
Injuries to certain players and last minute unavailabilities did not help the Pirates cause, but there much credit in the performance as they still matched their opponents for much of the game.
Tries for the Pirates were scored by scrum-half Dan Charter and hooker Andrew Gwennap who again captained the side. Fly-half Andrew Snell kicked two conversions.
Tom Ball was in fine form at No. 8, and youngster Jack Lugg also had a storming game.
