The Colts ended 2010 with two good wins against Penryn and St. Ives. However, in their New Year opener they lost heavily at home to Redruth.

Depleted because of injuries and flu, the Pirates Colts did well to dominate the first quarter of this rearranged league match and opened the scoring with a try by Jonny Badcock in the fourteenth minute.

The match was actually closely contested for almost all of the first half, but as soon as the pace of the Reds backs began to tell, it was inevitably one-way traffic for the rest of game.
