Following Penzance & Newlyn RFC's Annual General Meeting held back in the summer, when it was decided to defer the election of President because Robin Turner had been unwell and was unable to attend the meeting, the election took place at a Special General Meeting held the 'Westholme' clubhouse last Thursday evening.
The election was between Robin, who had held the post for three years, and retiring Treasurer Geoff Read, who was elected as the new President by a majority vote.
Prior to the election it was also voted through that the offices of President and Chairman will in future be elected for a three-year period, and the new Treasurer appointed was Mike Adams, who had been nominated by Robin and seconded by Scott Dugdale.
