Lance Corporal Darren Hicks, who played for both the Youth Section and the Amateurs, was killed in February whilst on foot patrol in Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards,

A Memorial Match against the Coldstream Guards was held at the Mennaye Field, Penzance on Friday 11th June 2010.

The presence of over 1500 people showed the huge level of respect held by individuals towards him

Scott Dugdale, Paul Greaves, Andrew Snell, Rastus Williams and many others, put immense effort into making the evening a success. They were keen to provide a fitting tribute to Darren, and to offer comfort to his family and friends.
