We have heard this week (October 6th 2008) that former player and lifelong supporter of the Pirates, Dick Payne, aged 78, has passed away.

Always enthusiastic as a player, Dick played over 100 games for the club, as did his late brother Ralph, with there several other members of the family who have worn the Pirates colours over the years.

Dick's funeral took place at Wesley Rock Methodist Church, Heamoor, at 11am on Tuesday 7th October, 2008.
