Trewirgie School are off
to Twickenham once more, this time representing the Cornish Pirates in the EDF
Energy National Schools Rugby Finals Day which takes place at Twickenham this
Saturday.
The
school was chosen from the 30 schools who have taken part in the EDF Energy National
Schools Rugby programme, which has introduced Tag rugby into schools from Redruth,
Camborne, Truro, Penwith and Falmouth through a Cornish Pirates coach, and visits
from the Cornish Pirates players.
Trewirgie School won the Redruth tournament
held in December, to win the right to play at Twickenham.
Dave Williams,
rugby coach at Trewirgie School said:"We have really enjoyed being a part
of the Cornish Pirates EDF Energy Programme, and we look forward to representing
Cornwall at Twickenham."
Trewirgie will play a school representing
Exeter Chiefs on the Twickenham pitch during half-time of the EDF Energy Cup Final
between Leicester Tigers and Welsh side the Ospreys.
